Solea is a computerized controlled CO2 laser. It is the first laser to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for hard (tooth) and soft (gums) tissue.
The Solea allows for anxiety free dentistry. It is mostly anesthesia free. The Solea laser takes the drill, the needle out and pain out of dental visits.
Treatments that can be done with Solea, for example, are cavities, gingivectomies and crown lengthening. This is a great option for children and pregnant patients as there is no need for anesthetic.
A vast majority of patients report not feeling anything. Others have reported a mild cold sensitivity.
